Azaharemulator

Azahar 3DS Emulator was created as a continuation of Nintendo 3DS emulation after the discontinuation of the original Citra project. Built as an open-source emulator based on Citra, Azahar emerged from the combined work of PabloMK7’s Citra fork and Lime3DS, bringing together experienced developers from the same ecosystem that shaped modern 3DS emulation. The goal of Azahar is to preserve, improve, and extend 3DS emulation for current and future platforms.

From the beginning, Azahar has been developed as a community-driven project, welcoming contributions from developers and users who value open software and game preservation. Like Citra, Azahar follows open-source principles, ensuring transparency, continued innovation, and long-term accessibility for anyone interested in Nintendo 3DS emulation.

After the official Citra website was taken offline in 2024, projects like Azahar stepped in to carry the torch forward. Today, Azahar focuses on improved compatibility, better performance, and ongoing updates for Windows, Linux, and Android devices, allowing users to continue enjoying their legally owned 3DS games.

This website, azaharemulator.net, exists for educational, archival, and preservation purposes only. We are not affiliated with Nintendo or the original Citra development team. Our mission is to provide accurate information, guides, and resources related to the Azahar emulator and the future of Nintendo 3DS emulation.
